Comhdháil faoin Phleanáil Teanga i nGaillimh

22728811_866051440228639_20319812549233316_nBeidh comhdháil faoin phleanáil teanga á heagrú ag an ngrúpa Teacht Aniar in Óstán na bhForbacha i nGaillimh ar an 25ú agus 26ú den mhí seo.

Tabharfaidh an ócáid seo deis do dhaoine ar spéis leofa an phleanáil teanga nó atá páirteach i gceann de na coistí áitiúla cosúil le Pleanáil Teanga na Rosann chun teacht le chéile agus cainteanna a chloisteáil  ó shaineolaithe ar an phleanáil teanga. Dar leis na heagraithe seo iad na spriocanna atá ag an chomhdháil:

  • B’fhearr glacadh leis an gcomhdháil seo mar an chéad chéim i bpróiseas foghlamtha, cumasaithe agus slógaidh na rannpháirtithe
  • Go roinnfear an saineolas atá bailithe go dtí seo ag na coistí pleanála teanga
  • Go gcothófar comhghuaillíocht ina measc
  • Go ndéanfar cinneadh gréasán teangmhálacha a bhunú le comhordú a dhéanamh idir na grúpaí pleanála de réir mar a oireann
  • Go ndéanfar scrúdú ar na gnéithe eagsúla a bhaineann leis an bpleanáil teanga mar atá beartaithe.

Tá sé saor in aisce le freastal ar an ócáid, agus beidh ionadaí ó choiste Pleanála Teanga na Rosann i láthair. Tuilleadh eolais ar fáil anseo: https://teachtaniar.eu/imeachtai/

Gaeilge ar an Chlochán Liath á phlé ar ‘Barrscéalta’ / Use of Irish in an Clochán Liath discussed on Raidió na Gaeltachta

Ó tharla go bhfuil an Clochán Liath ainmnithe mar bhaile seirbhíse Gaeltachta, rinne RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta rud beag taighde ar líon na ngnólachtaí sa bhailea bhfuil Gaeilgeoirí líofa fostaithe iontu. I measc na dtorthaí a bhí acu, fuair siad amach go bhfuil ar a laghad Gaeilgeoir amháin ag obair in 70% de ghnónna an bhaile – rud a bheas ina chúnamh mór do rath an phleanála teanga sa cheantar agus sna limistéir eile máguaird. Phléigh cathaoirleach choiste pleanála teanga na Rosann, Helena Mhic Laifeartaigh, Ben Ó Ceallaigh, an comhairleoir pleanála teanga agus Séamas Ó Gallachóir ó Údarás na Gaeltachta torthaí an tsuirbhé ar Barrscéalta le gairid.

Beidh an podchraoladh ar fáil anseo gan mhoill (19ú Aibreán): https://www.rte.ie/rnag/barrscealta/

With An Clochán Liath being recently announced as a Gaeltacht service town, RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta recently conducted a survey on the use of Irish in businesses in the town. Amongst the results, the survey found that 70% of the town’s businesses employ at least one fluent Irish speaker, a fact which will be of huge assistance to the implementation of the language plan for the Rosses and the surrounding areas. The Rosses language planning committee chairperson, Helena Mhic Laifeartaigh, the area’s language planning consultant Ben Ó Ceallaigh, and Séamas Ó Gallachóir from Údarás na Gaeltachta recently discussed the survey on RnaG’s Barrscéalta.

Podcast will be available here (19th April): https://www.rte.ie/rnag/barrscealta/

Lá comhairliúcháin ar an 12 Márta – Consultation day on 12th March

Tá Coiste pleanála teanga na Rosann ag tabhairt cuiridh do spriocghrúpaí difriúla a bheidh an-tábhachtach do rath an phlean chun teacht chuig Ionad Teampaill Chróine ar an 12 Márta le páirt a ghlacadh i ngrúpaí fócais chun tuairimí na ngrúpaí seo faoi thodhchaí na Gaeilge sa cheantar a fháil. Tabharfaidh seo tuiscint níos doimhe dúinn ar riachtanais earnálacha éagsúla sa cheantar ná a fhaightear sna ceistneoirí atá á scaipeadh ar thithe an limistéir faoi láthair. Tá súil againn go bhfeicfidh muid go leor agaibh ar an lá!

The Rosses language planning committee is inviting key target groups who will be particularly important for our language plan’s success to attend one of our focus groups on Monday 12th March. This will allow us a more detailed insight into the needs of specific sectors of the community than can be gained from the questionnaire currently being distributed to houses in the area. We hope to see many of you in Ionad Teampaill Chróine on the day!

An Clochan Liath ainmnithe mar bhaile seirbhíse Gaeltachta – Dungloe named as “Gaeltacht service town”

Dungloe1.png

D’fhógair an roinn atá i gceannas ar chúrsaí Gaeltachta le gairid go bhfuil an Clochán Liath anois ainmnithe mar bhaile seirbhíse Gaeltachta. Faoi Acht na Gaeltachta 2012 ní hamháin go bhfuil pleananna teanga le scríobh ag pobail Ghaeltachta, ach beidh stádas faoi leith ag bailte áirithe a chuireann seirbhísí ar fáil do mhuintir na Gaeltachta. Cé go mbeidh go leor faoin bhaile sa phlean teanga atá á ullmhú againn faoi láthair , beidh plean faoi leith ag teastáil ó don Chlochán Liath féin amach anseo fosta. Beidh cruinniú le hionadaí ó Údarás na Gaeltachta faoina bhfuil i gceist leis seo in Ionad Teampaill Chróine Dé Máirt seo chugainn, 27ú Feabhra, agus tá tuilleadh faoin scéal sa Donegal Daily anseo:

http://www.donegaldaily.com/2018/02/20/process-to-achieve-gaeltacht-service-town-status-for-an-clochan-liath-begins/

An Clochán Liath/Dungloe was recently announced by the Department responsible for the Gaeltacht as a Gaeltacht service town, a town given special status under the Gaeltacht Act 2012 for providing services to Gaeltacht residents. Although there will be lots regarding the town in the plan we are currently preparing, eventually an Clochán Liath will need its own plan for promoting Irish within the town per se. A representative from Údarás na Gaeltachta will talk about this process at a public meeting in Ionad Teampaill Chróine next Tuesday February 27th and there is more information in the link above to Donegeal Daily.
